CAITLIN & LUKE

Most days, you can find us working together in our cozy office & high-fiving each other from across the room when big things happen! We love our pup Ollie, dinner dates, watching The Bachelor, and remodeling our new home... and Caitlin spends way too much time at Starbucks & Target! We’re most passionate about our faith in Jesus, encouraging thriving marriages, and educating aspiring photographers nationwide. We believe photographs should look as real & joyful as each moment feltWelcome!

The Caitlin & Luke Story

January 1, 2016

Filed in: Personal

the caitlin and luke story

As a shy high school student, the last thing Caitlin ever dreamed of was becoming a full time wedding photographer. But, she had an undeniable love for photography and celebrating life through images. When friends of hers adopted a little girl one summer and offered to pay her for a photoshoot, she started a Facebook page on whim, and discovered a deep love for the photography industry. On a whim, she decided to second-shoot a wedding with another photographer in the summer of 2012, and she went to bed that night knowing she’d found what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

After Caitlin launched her business, she began dreaming about shooting weddings full time. God took that little dream and blessed it beyond her wildest expectations… and she soon dreamed about teaching her future husband to second shoot with her one day.

She was blessed to work with brides who became dear friends, photographed first looks and teared up along with the grooms, and she witnessed ceremonies that were beyond breathtaking. Her job was a JOY, and I was convinced it couldn’t get any better!!

But it could. Along came a boy! In the fall of 2014, she began to get to know the sweet & handsome guy she now calls my husband. Around a bonfire at a party neither of us had planned to attend, we connected over photography! (Hashtag nerds, we know!)

Little did we know that 7 months later, on Caitlin’s birthday, we’d shoot our first wedding together. 3 months later, Luke asked Caitlin to spend forever with him. On June 18th, 2016, we said “I do” to forever together!!

God gave us so much more than we deserve when He gave us each other… He gave me us each a teammate, a business partner, a fellow dreamer, an encourager, and a best friend. There is nothing like shooting a first look next to your husband, while remembering your own, and nothing compares to sharing the most intimate moments of a wedding day with our precious couples and each other.

Being engaged at the same time as our brides offered incomparable insight into the wedding planning process that now allows us run our business in a unique way. Plus, we TOTALLY understand the excitement being married brings!

THERE’S NOTHING BETTER THAN DOING WHAT YOU LOVE MOST, WITH THE PERSON YOU LOVE MOST.

The best part? This is only the beginning of our story. We can’t wait to meet you and hear yours!
