From the moment she inquires, I make it my mission become lifelong friends with each client I serve. As a retired wedding photographer of 10 years, to this day, I'm still in touch with dozens of our past Caitlin & Luke Brides, and many have become dear friends of ours.
I'll be there from inquiry through gallery delivery for questions, outfit planning & whatever you need along the way. Everything about what I do is centered around how much I care for you as my client and friend!

Before each portrait session, I pray over my client's family and for their shoot with me- that their photoshoot will be a sweet, joyful celebration of their family's story. When you look back on your images, I want you to catch your breath and say, "These feel like us!" - and be filled with joy as you relive each tender hug, each silly laugh, and the way your little one held your hand, feeling afresh every emotion you experience as a parent in this fleeting season.
After 10 years and photographing hundreds of weddings, we shifted our business to fit our season of life with a toddler and another baby on the way. Caitlin and Luke Clients are a very unique tribe. In order to provide an incredible experience & to be present as a wife and mother, each year I serve a select number of couples & families who deeply care about the quality of their family memories & prioritize photography. They desire a genuine relationship, an unparalleled experience, and to work with the same photographer for years- someone their littles can become comfortable with. Once we’ve determined we're the perfect fit, I'll send you my Investment Guide, and to safely secure your date, you’ll officially book me online.
Once you’ve become a Caitlin & Luke Client (cue the confetti!), you'll receive our exclusive C&L Client Resources, including a session prep guide, a preferred vendor list, and more! Caitlin will offer the option to schedule a phone call where, we’ll craft a custom session vision & list of most important photographs, designed with your priorities as the focus. I'll guide you through planning locations, hair & makeup, outfits, & more. Remember- you’re never left to navigate this alone.
Step One
SessION Preparation
As your session day approaches, we’re here for any & all questions that may arise! Because I believe no client should be left alone to plan their photoshoot, I'll assist in every step of planning. Before your session, you'll receive a Pre-Session Questionnaire from me. Your answers help me serve you best on your session day! When your session week arrives, we'll chat one last time via email to ensure we're on the same page before your shoot, answer final questions, run through outfits, and calm any nerves you have!
All this preparation is how I ensure my clients receive a finished gallery full of photos that surpass every dream they ever had for their images! Bring on the signature C&L sunset photos, the precious baby snuggles, the joy-filled {and slightly chaotic!} full family shots, the smiling family portraits your parents & grandparents will treasure, & of course, plenty of photos of you real selves… since I've been a photographer since 2011, I'm a professional at crafting photoshoot experiences that ensure you have time for all the photos that are most important to you!
Step Two
Your Photoshoot Day
This is when the fun really starts! Don’t worry one bit… it’s our job to teach you everything you need to know about being in front of the camera! I'll teach you all of it: how to pose, how to look and feel natural, and you’ll never have to wonder where to look, how to stand, or what to do with your hands! After your first few minutes & set of photos, you’ll feel 100% confident and like a total pro… it never fails. Not to worry if you’ve never had family photos or if your husband hates taking photos… after 10 years photographing grooms & groomsmen on wedding days, I know how to help guys feel comfortable in front of the camera!
I'll ensure you feel gorgeous & comfortable the entire time, and I promise to fix your hair, make your kiddos laugh, and never let there be silence while photographing you. Your only job is to laugh & love on your family! Following your session, you’ll see your session featured on our social media, and you can use the final photos in your home and online. Please feel free to share with your friends and family, too!
Step Three
Gallery delivery
Forget having to wait months for your finished photos! Within just 1 month, your finished images will be delivered via a curated, organized online gallery! We encourage our families to look at their gallery together and to make it a night they'll remember forever… complete with a glass of wine for mom and dad, some pizza for the whole family, some favorite music playing softly in the background, and candles lit. (Cue all the happy tears!) I invite you to simply text or email your gallery link to your family as soon as you’d like to… it’s much easier than passing a USB back and forth.
Galleries are also accessible from a mobile iPhone link, and they are safely backed up online for 10 years. Within your gallery, you can download, share and order prints of your favorite photos, and we organize the photos into easy to navigate folders for each year & each session, so you can always find your favorites easily! Now, it's time to choose images to hang on your walls, another step I love helping with. I'm over the moon to assist you with selecting the heirloom prints you’ll pass down for decades to come.
Step Four
The relationship continues…
I adore continuing our friendship with my clients long after their session has come and gone! In fact, I still photograph almost all of my couples and families an average of 1-3 times each consecutive year! Luke and I love grabbing dinner with past clients, & I love photographing them as their families grow. I'm ready to document every family milestone to come! Your first shoot with me is truly just the beginning.
I frequently photograph shoots for our Caitlin & Luke Clients' family and friends, too! I can't wait to continue our friendship as your love and family grow with each passing year. We will take any chance to catch up over dinner or drinks with our past clients, particularly if we're shooting in the city where they live! With Caitlin & Luke Clients living all across the United States, from California, to Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida and beyond, our travels are always exciting chances to reconnect with the sweet people who will forever be known as Caitlin & Luke Clients and part of our brand's family!
