Apparently, we blinked and it became September!! Who else can relate to us and feels the exact same way?! Oh my goodness gracious! We’ve been so looking forward to September around here for a lot of reasons – pumpkin spice lattes might be one of them 😉 – and one of those reasons was that we were going to be celebrating with Kaylen and Nate as they promised to spend forever with one another!! Kaylen and Nate are two of those people who just make you feel happier when you’re with them. They radiate the sweetest joy when they’re together, and it’s that kind of joy that permeated each and every moment on Saturday!
These two started off their days getting ready in Downtown Naperville (we are officially obsessed with Harrison House, the bed and breakfast where Kaylen and her bridesmaids got ready!), tied the knot at Koten Chapel on the very same campus where they met, and danced the night away at Courtyard Banquets! Plus, we snuck in some of Luke and I’s favorite sunset portraits of ALL TIME right before Kaylen and Nate’s reception… just wait until you guys see these!!! Ah! 🙂
Plus, Kaylen is the cousin of Summer, one of our amazing photographer-friends, so it was such a blast to have Summer as a bridesmaid (and her husband Adam as a videographer!) on Saturday, too!! All four of us were totally swooning over the golden hour light together… I’m sure we didn’t annoy Kaylen and Nate at all 😉
Kaylen and Nate, we absolutely loved every moment of Saturday! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your story and choosing us to document your love on one of the best days of your lives. Getting to know you guys has been a total joy for us… you two are, hands down, one of the kindest and most real couples we’ve ever had the opportunity to work with, and we could not be more thankful that our paths crossed! We wish you two nothing but the best as you start your brand new life together and we seriously hope you guys stay in touch!!
