Get excited, friends, because one amazing little wedding is headed your way today! Just a few weeks ago, we received the sweetest (and happiest!) message from our dear friend Maddy, who got engaged this summer! She was writing to let us know that she and her fiancé Alex had decided to get married not next year, or the one after… but in just a few weeks. Cue the confetti, right?! We were STOKED for them… but we were even more excited when we realized we had their wedding date open. (Let’s just acknowledge the fact that this is a small miracle in the middle of wedding season- ha!)just like that, we began planning for the sweet time that was Saturday evening, and y’all- it was incredible.
Just like that, we began planning for the sweet time that was Saturday evening, and y’all- it was incredible. Surrounded by just 18 of their family members, these two said “I do” in a beautiful park here in Bloomington, and we got to spend some time photographing some adorable portraits for these two before they headed to a little party afterward! We absolutely love the fact that this day was just completely focused on Maddy and Alex… not on the details, not on the venue, not on anything else but their relationship and their love story. It was simply beautiful, and the heart of this day was so pure and perfect. And yes- I totally cried. 😉 One of our very favorite moments in this sweet day was when these two read the letters they’d written each other… it was the perfect way to finish off this sweet day! (Scroll way down to the bottom of this post to find those sweet images!)
Maddy and Alex, it was a complete HONOR and joy to get to witness the day when you two promised to spend forever with one another. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trusting us to document one of the most important days in your entire lives, and thank you for welcoming us into your celebration! We cannot wait to send over your finished gallery so soon, but in the meantime, hopefully these sneak peeks of just your first look and portrait time will hold you over a little bit. 🙂
