Where do we even begin? The second Mallory and Josh booked us for their wedding, I think we began counting down to their beautiful day on June 17th! I’ve known Mallory for just about as long as I can remember… we grew up at the same church together, and we are the same age! Our parents are also close friends and one of my best friends was a bridesmaid, so it was a blast to get to spend the day with so many amazing people. PLUS, these guys got married where we got married, one day away from our anniversary! It doesn’t get much better than this, guys… all of these things made getting to photograph her wedding incredibly special for us!
One thing I can say after watching several of my sweet friends get date, fall in love and get married is that, as their friend, you want nothing more than to know that your friend has found the perfect fit for her. You watch closely and carefully to be sure he’s taking good care of her, making her laugh, noticing the unique way God created her… you know, all of the things a protective friend cares about! 😉 And I haven’t spent much time with Josh and Mallory together, but I can tell you one thing: Josh is that perfect fit for Mallory. Y’all, this guy ADORES my friend, and it’s the sweetest thing to see. It makes my heart so happy that my friend for so many years has found the man God picked for her. And this day? It couldn’t possibly have been any sweeter. Wait until you see these two’s darling First Look and alllll the portraits we got to capture with them… Mallory knew how to plan her timeline around portraits, that is for SURE! 🙂 One of our very favorite parts of this day was watching Mallory and her Dad do their father/daughter dance to a song that her dad wrote just for that special moment. What a precious idea, right? You KNOW I was in tears, ha!!
Mallory and Josh, you two are just about as sweet as it gets. Thank you for inviting US into the celebration of your beautiful day! Luke and I couldn’t be happier for the two of you and are so excited for you guys as you start off your life together as husband and wife! We hope you absolutely love this little sneak peek into your wedding day, and we already cannot WAIT for you to see the rest soon! Congrats, you two!!
Xoxo,
Caitlin and Luke
