About halfway through Kerstin and Kyle’s engagement session with us on Sunday morning, Kyle asked us what the COLDEST shoot we’ve ever done was. Luke and I looked at each other and just started laughing, because Kerstin and Kyle’s shoot definitely wins that category! 😉 It was about 22 degrees on Sunday morning during Kerstin and Kyle’s engagement session, and besides a November wedding last year which ended up being totally snowy, I don’t remember ever being so cold during a session! That being said, you would NEVER have been able to tell how freezing cold it was outside from how Kerstin and Kyle acted! These two totally braved the cold temperatures, wore their coats in between outfits and loved on each other the whole shoot regardless of how cold they were. ☃️
Kerstin has a super demanding and busy job schedule, which means they won’t be back in the area for a while before their October, 2017 wedding, so we KNEW we had to make this session happen while they were home! I’m so glad they were still up for shooting with the weather forecast as it was, because we had the best time hanging out with these cuties and getting to know them better! After finishing about 45 minutes of photos at our first location, we wrapped up their session in Uptown Normal under the marquee at the Normal Theater, which has lots of significance to Kerstin’s family… I loved how special and meaningful that was for them!!
Kerstin and Kyle, we seriously cannot WAIT for your wedding day to arrive! Just from meeting you guys on Sunday morning, we can already tell that your day will absolutely be a reflection of you two and the love you have for each other. Plus, you guys have some serious style, so I know it’ll be a stunner of a day, for sure! We can’t wait to share the rest of your gallery with you SOON and hope you cherish these photos forever… and that one day, you can tell your kiddos and grandkids about how cold it was on the November morning we chose for this session!
XOXO,
Caitlin and Luke
