Hi friends!! Typically, the blog is packed with pretty pictures of our sweet couples on their best day ever and in the exciting seasons of life that we have the honor of getting to document for them, and we love that w get to share so much of that with you all! Today, though, we’re switching things up and sharing a bit of a different post, because today is Luke and I’s third anniversary! 🙂
Luke and I got married on June 18th of 2016, and everything they tell you about how fast these precious first few year so marriage will fly by is TRUE. We both feel like we absolutely blinked and arrived here- three years in! It’s crazy how quick the time goes, but we have been blessed with three amazing years full of joy, travel, adventures, memories, and the littlest moments that mean the absolute most.
This past year of marriage was just like every year in a lot of ways. It was filled with a lot of wonderful things- getting to work together & grow our business together, traveling to new places, meeting new friends, and just continuing to grow closer as a couple! It was also filled with a lot of new things, too… this was the year where we bought our very first home together and completely renovated it- together! 😉 What an adventure that was!
This year was also filled with some unexpected challenges that we’ve had to overcome together, and we’re grateful to be able to look back and recognize that while those challenges could have created distance between us, we continually have chosen to let them bring us CLOSER together and make us into an even more united team than we were a year ago.
Our marriage is absolutely NOT perfect, but goodness are we both thankful that God decided to give us one another when He was making His plans for each of our lives. I cannot think of a better match for me than Luke, and we truly are each other’s best friend. If the past three years have been any indication of how the next fifty plus will go, we are filled with anticipation for every year to come. I have no idea how we’re already here celebrating our third anniversary, but here we are- and I’m so grateful for every single day with this sweet man.
