If you’ve been following us for long, you are already well aware of Luke and I’s total obsession with heirloom wedding albums- and you know how important we believe these sweet albums are! However, albums are often something many couples are hesitant to invest in, especially after all the other wedding-related expenses they just dealt with- let’s just be real!
Today, we want to talk through why we really believe these albums are 100% worth the investment… so let’s dive in!
Table of Contents
01. Preserving your photos means preserving all you were left with after your wedding day
At the end of your wedding day, what are you left with?
Your new spouse and your wedding photos.
That’s it! This is why we believe so strongly that each of our couples should not only invest in their wedding photography, but also invest in a hand-crafted, customized wedding album that will last for decades after your wedding day has come and gone.
Simply put, your wedding images should not only live in an online, digital gallery for the next fifty years… they deserve to grace the walls of your home and become a part of your home by sitting on your coffee table for decades to come.
02. Professional wedding albums have quality that will last
The albums we offer as wedding photographers are incomparable to any album or photobook you could create or purchase on your own, and our albums are designed to stand the test of time. Your photos are printed directly onto each page and the covers are bound with premium leather from our carefully chosen album company.
Plus, as we head into reason number three below, you need to invest in a wedding album with quality that will stand the test of time, SO THAT you can pass along your wedding albums for generations to come- without pages falling out, image color fading, and the binding coming undone! (How absolutely heartbreaking would that be?!)
03. Your first family heirloom is the start of your legacy
Ultimately, we believe that an investment in high-quality photography deserves an investment in a high-quality way to preserve those images forever. It gives our couples such peace to know that their album will still be here for their children and grandchildren to thumb through one day decades from now… and what a beautiful legacy of love that is! Who can’t remember discovering their grandparents’ wedding album back when you were a little girl?!
Bonus Tip: Making the Investment Easier
We completely understand the challenge of wedding budgets, so we recommend that our couples consider the investment of an album as a totally separate investment that is unrelated to their wedding budget. In fact, we allow our couples to pay the majority of their album investment after their wedding, and many of our couples ask for an album as a wedding gift from their family.
Similarly, Zola, The Knot, and other similar wedding websites have options where you can set up a “fund” for something specific, and guests can give to this fund as their wedding gift. You could absolutely set up one for your first family heirloom!
