Don’t you just love all of these engagement sessions lately?! We’re so pumped that it’s finally warming up enough for people to WANT to be outside for sessions… ha! We adore a good snowy shoot every now and then, but I think it’s definitely safe to say that we love that a lot more than our couples do! 😉 All that to say, we’re happy that our calendar is so full of springtime engagement sessions, and we were incredibly happy to be meeting up with Natalie and Bryce on Monday night for their engagement shoot! To top it all off, Illinois has been having the most amazing weather for April, which made this shoot even BETTER!
As a few of you guys may know, while Luke and I were dating and engaged, I lived in a house with ten girls. Yes, 10!!! It was crazy, but while ten girls living in one house might sound insane and like way too much to handle, I cannot imagine life without each of the amazing ladies I lived with for that year! ???????? A few of my roomies switched each semester for things like getting married (holla!) and studying abroad, so overall, I lived with about a dozen other girls over the course of that year, and I adore each of them so much. We are all so unique, and yet God picked the perfect group of girls to live together that year… it was truly amazing how it all worked out. That season was such a sweet time of my life, and I’m so thankful that God led me to sign for that house even though I barely knew each of these girls when I chose to do so! Life is crazy.
This year, we get to shoot not one, but TWO of my sweet roomies’ weddings!!! How fun is that?! I’m sure you guys remember my roommate Kayla and her fiancé Phil from back in the fall… we can’t wait for their day in August! (Plus, another one of our roomies is getting married this summer, and we actually get to be a guest at their sweet day!) Now, my roommate Natalie is engaged, and their July wedding is quickly approaching. It’s going to be one fun summer, that is for sure!
On Monday night, we got to photograph Natalie and Bryce’s engagement session, and we had such a sweet time at their shoot! Natalie had planned their outfits perfectly, right down to that darling flower crown. Can more of our brides please bring these to their engagement sessions?! I love how it turned out!! Plus, we had a gorgeous night to shoot, and we even got to take Bryce’s boat out on the water at the end of our time with these two! Natalie and Bryce, we are SO excited for you two and we are so ready for your big day to arrive! We already know we are going to have so much fun with you two in July… and it will be here before you even know it. Being engaged flies by, so we hope that you guys can soak up every last second of this sweet time of your relationship!
