One of the things that Luke and I value so much is developing relationships with vendors in our area and beyond. We’re so passionate about connecting with vendors who care about their brides as much as we do, and that is SO true for the girls at Michelle’s Bridal! We had the opportunity to meet them and photograph their gorgeous shop back in the early fall, and ever since I’ve been wanting to ask them to come share some wedding gown shopping tips with you guys on the blog!

Take some time to think about what your dream dress may look like before your appointment. Browse Pinterest, check out our social media, and determine the look that you like… especially based on your wedding theme and location!
Lucky for you, we have developed a styling tool known as ‘Wedlooks’ which is available exclusively at Michelle’s Bridal. This tool allows our brides to piece together their wedding dress vision and send it along to their stylist in advance. Our highly trained stylists are then able to research and pull inventory based on your answers and their knowledge. This research before the appointment contributes to a win-win for everyone and makes finding your dress that much easier and most of all… ENJOYABLE! After all, who wouldn’t want to see what dresses a personal stylist would choose for them?
2. Limit your Entourage
Sometimes less is more! Even though we do not limit the number of guests you bring to an appointment, too many opinions can complicate how you feel and make your decision that much more difficult. In order to eliminate the feeling of being overwhelmed, bring the people whose opinions you value most and remember that this is your dress for your special day! Often times brides are happiest when they limit the guest count for their initial appointment and bring a larger group back with them to help finalize their accessories. Your stylist has all the answers regarding colors, fabrics, and details that will bring your entire look together. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and give your honest feedback! Sometimes putting a dress on that you had no intention of ever trying can surprise you and you may just end up falling in love with it!
