SURPRISE! Oh my goodness, you guys… you have no idea how excited we are to be pressing “Publish” on this post! We are so happy to announce that we’re introducing a brand new website and blog as we start off 2017, and we couldn’t be happier!
For a long time, we’ve been talking and dreaming and brainstorming about a mini rebrand to kick off 2017, but nothing ever felt like quite the right fit. Whether it was timing, a design, or whatever, it just never fell into place. Whenever that happens, we’ve now know it just means we have to wait a little bit, because something amazing is coming our way.
And you guys… that is exactly what happened! All of the details for a mini brand-refresh fell into place over the past month, and we just decided to put our heads down, hustle and finish this project! A rebrand, even if it’s little, is never a simple process. It takes so much time, and even so much emotional energy, to push through and figure it all out. From defining our goals and our real “why” behind everything on the site, to curating images, fixing mistakes and designing the same page over and over again for hours, it’s a big process!
Yet, it’s worth it. That kind of work always is, isn’t it?! And we are SO pumped to finally reveal what we’ve been working so hard on and pouring so much of ourselves into for so long.
But first, we want to say a huge thank you to Davey and Krista Jones of The Palm Shop for helping us throughout this entire process! Not only are they amazing photographers and business owners, but they are just plain the sweetest people ever. I’ll be the first to say that neither Luke nor I am a graphic designer or a professional website designer (duh!), so we relied heavily on these two’s guidance throughout our design process and for answers to random questions. We couldn’t imagine selecting anyone else work with on our new site, and we’re forever grateful to Davey and Krista!
We also are beyond impressed with the brand new Showit 5! My very first website ever was through Showit, so I think that means we’ll be Showiteers for life, right?! The support staff at Showit is just plain top-notch, and the new interface of Showit 5 is basically a blast to work with. We love Showit so much and it feels wonderful to be back!
Also, we want to thank our amazing clients, friends and our family for always supporting us and what we do! People have been so encouraging as they’ve gotten little peeks at our new site and brand, and the support and love we feel from them means the world… even if they don’t totally understand our excitement over a new website, haha! We couldn’t do it without our “tribe,” that is for sure!
So, now that you’ve gotten through a few cheesy thank-you’s and overall gushing from me, welcome to the brand new Caitlin & Luke!
