We can hardly believe it’s already time to put together this blog post, but here we are!! Where did 2020 go?! If you are new around here, welcome to the blog! 🙂 We are Caitlin & Luke- Bloomington, IL Wedding Photographers, and every year, we share a recap of our wedding and shoot season right here on the blog in a two part series: Best of Couples and Best of Weddings! Today, we’re sharing our yearly Best of Couples blog post, and we couldn’t be more excited! As per usual, this post is PACKED with so many of our favorite images from this season, and we’re so grateful as we look back on all the amazing couples we got to work with in 2020!
It’s no secret that 2020 was a super unusual year for all of us, especially anyone in the weddings & events industry. This year looked much different for us than any other year we’ve been in business- it’s just a fact! Our shooting season didn’t truly begin until June and mostly July, we shot wearing masks for the very first time, we couldn’t hug our couples or shake their hands when we met them or saw them again, shoots were often postponed or rescheduled until safer weeks, and so on. There have been many days this year where we’ve faced situations that we’ve never have had to deal with before as business owners, and it was a hard year to run a business. It’s wild to me that we’ve basically crammed our entire 2020 season into {mostly} the 4 months of July through November, and I think that’s part of why I can’t believe I’m already putting together this post! I keep thinking, “Wait, didn’t we just shoot this session a few months ago? How is it already the end of the year?” 😉
In the midst of a really weird time for our world, for anyone in business, and really for anyone in general, we are SO grateful to each of our sweet couples for still choosing to support our business and work with us in 2020! We are endlessly thankful for each of the couples represented in this post, and they mean more to us than they’ll probably ever know. Some of these couples are brand new faces this year, others are couples who have come back to us time after time, and still others are faces we haven’t seen in a few years! No matter what, we love each of these people and are so thankful to be their photographers.
What a year! Caitlin & Luke Clients, we love you all! So much love, and here’s to an amazing year of continuing to serve you all in 2021!
