Happy Wednesday, friends! Luke and I are so excited to be sharing this precious session with you guys on the blog today! A few months back, Melanie and Charlie reached out to us about photographing their engagement session on Illinois State University’s campus because these two met and fell in love at Illinois State University. We loved that they wanted to come back to where it all started for them! On our wedding day, we came back to the spot where we had our first date and got engaged to take some portraits, so we could totally understand these two’s desire to photograph their session in a meaningful location! We even got to stop by the building where these two met, and the photos we took there are some of our very favorites. Just the sweetest!
The weather was calling for a massive amount of rain and crazy thunderstorms for the morning of Melanie and Charlie’s session, but lo and behold, when the sun rose on Tuesday morning, we didn’t deal with a single DROP of rain until much later in the day. We were SO thankful we got to enjoy photographing these two, uninhibited or impacted by any crazy Illinois weather! Plus, it was Melanie’s BIRTHDAY… does it get much more fun than that?! Happy Birthday again, Melanie! 🙂
Melanie and Charlie, we know nothing but the absolute best is in store for you two as you get ready to start off life together as a MARRIED couple in just a few weeks! We could not be more excited for you two, and we’re so glad we got to be a part of your love story and got to connect with you in the town and on the campus where it all began.
