Ohh friends, you guys are in for a TREAT this fourth of July with this sweet wedding day. Are you ready for this?!
From the moment we met Lauren, two things were clear to us: 1. She is one of the most genuinely kind and sweet souls you will ever meet. 2. She has incredible taste. 🙂 (We’re serious- this was even mentioned in her sister’s toast at the reception!!) Put those two facts about Lauren together, and the result is one heck of a gorgeous wedding day! Lauren and David’s wedding day was classic, timeless, and heavy on the florals and greenery… so basically, it was exactly the kind of day we love. From the long, black bridesmaids’ gowns to the groomsmen’s bowties and from Lauren’s lace gown to the incredible florals Lauren dreamed up, this day was flawless from start to finish. But most of all, we love that the focus was not on the details and the look of the day- it was on the love that Lauren and David share for one another, and that is what mattered most to everyone there on Saturday.
We started the day off at Epiphany Catholic Church, headed down the road to Illinois State University’s quad for some portraits, drove downtown for even more portraits, and finished off the rest of our night at one of our all time favorite venues, Epiphany Farms and Anju Above in downtown Bloomington! It was a sweet, sweet day and we were incredibly honored to be a part of the celebration. Oh- and if you scroll on down to the reception details at the end of this post, you’ll see that instead of giving their guests wedding favors, these two made a donation to Wish Bone Canine Rescue in honor of their adorable yellow lab Gracie, who we got to meet at Lauren and David’s engagement session back in the fall! Is that the cutest thing ever or what?! We just LOVED that! ????
Lauren and David, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you both over the past year plus!! How has your wedding day already come and gone?! As we said when we were leaving your reception on Saturday night, we were so sad your day was over because it means we have no good excuses to hang out with you guys anymore!! 😉 We are so excited to share a little peek into your amazing day, and we hope you have the most amazing honeymoon this week!
