This weekend was just FULL of photographing people we love dearly! Not only did we get to photograph our dear friends Emilee and Cody’s wedding on Saturday, but we also got to photograph our sweet friends Mallory and Josh’s engagement session on Sunday! One of our absolute favorite parts of our job is getting to photograph friends. It’s the best thing ever to get to have the perspective of photographing a friend with the love of her life… I cannot even describe it!
I’ve known Mallory since I was super little; we grew up at the same church, and our families are friends, too! Mallory has always had one of the most sincere, kind hearts and the most hilarious personality, and she has always just been FUN to be around. She is one of those people you just feel better and happier after being around! When I heard she’d gotten ENGAGED to her boyfriend Josh while she was away at college, I was immediately so excited for her, without even meeting Josh for the first time! I knew that he had to be someone special. Fast forward to when Mallory and I started talking about us shooting their wedding, and I got even MORE excited! These two are getting married a day before our first anniversary next June, and we are already counting down the days until then! ????
We drove up to Allerton Park in Champaign, Illinois on Sunday night to meet up with these two again! The entire drive there was just gorgeous… I was dying over the gorgeous fall colors the entire way there. Allerton Park is one of those places you could just wander around for hours and still never see all of it. We had the best time exploring this spot with Mallory and Josh! I just love the way these two love each other… it’s so pure and real, and you can just tell how much they care about each other and are EXCITED to be getting married!
Mallory and Josh, we LOVED spending time with y’all on Sunday night! You guys are the cutest and we cannot wait for your wedding next June! We hope you love your photos and that you soak up every minute of being engaged… I promise, it will fly by!
