I’m convinced that our couples officially know the COOLEST spots to shoot their engagement sessions! For real, you guys, we have been introduced to so many of our favorite new locations through our sweet couples… from little nooks on college campuses to fields at vineyards and entire state parks we never had even heard of!
Monday night’s location was no exception to this… oh my goodness gracious! The photos I Googled online of Farmdale Reservoir absolutely did NOT do this location justice. We arrived at the location for Karolina and Matt’s engagement session a little early to scope it out and plan what spots we’d use, and my jaw literally dropped when we pulled in! I had no idea we had a location like this here in Illinois, you guys!! I immediately knew we’d want to hit as many spots in this location as humanly possible before the sun set… and you guys, it was just too good. Karolina and Matt actually love to run here at Farmdale Reservoir and bring their adorable dog Lola with them, so they were familiar with al of the best spots to shoot, and we totally got the benefit of that! We will be coming back here for SURE!
This spot just had it all… from fields to woods, pine trees to the most stunning view overlooking the entire place! It was the perfect backdrop for Karolina and Matt’s engagement session… it literally fit these two perfectly! I just love the way Karolina and Matt interact. It’s SO clear even from just spending an hour with these guys that they fit each other so crazy well. I love when our couples interact, talk and laugh together even while we’re photographing them, and that is exactly what Karolina and Matt did during their session! They have such an easy, natural and sweet relationship and it was so fun to capture that! ????
