If you’ve been reading our blog for a while now, and you don’t know that I am absolutely OBSESSED with fall, I would be so surprised!! Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons… I’ve always adored the change in seasons, the gorgeous color in the trees, chillier temperatures, fall clothes and shoes, fall drinks and food… you name it. (I told you, I’m obsessed!) Then, Luke and I met and started dating in the fall of 2014, and now fall is filled with so many memories for us, and that just makes this season a million times better! All month long, Facebook has been reminding me of when we became friends on Facebook, sharing old photos of the bonfire where Luke asked me out, and so many other little moments that bring me RIGHT back to where it all started for us! I’m a hopeless romantic and get so sappy and all heart-eyed this time of year… so we take advantage of it by keeping up with our old traditions, and this past weekend we got to start what I hope will be a new traditions for Luke and I!
On Sunday, we headed to Tanner’s Orchard with some amazing friends of ours! I honestly don’t ever remember going here besides when I was a little girl, and I was so excited to go back! The long drive was definitely worth it (with a quick stop at Panera for my fave cinnamon crunch bagel, of course!), but we were shocked at how crowded it was! Throughout our time at Tanner’s we did so many “fall” things… I tried one of their amazing pumpkin donuts, ordered an iced salted caramel latte, and Luke tried an apple cider slushy… we’re working on him falling in love with coffee like I have. We all rode around the orchard, wandered through the apple orchard and a pumpkin patch and eventually made our way to their amazing shop to pick out some goodies to take home! ????
I was SO excited that they had Kcups for my Keurig, and I picked out five amazing fall flavors… pumpkin spice was my favorite, go figure! We also grabbed a bag of delicious apples, and tried to avoid the many boxes of pumpkin donuts, bags of kettle corn and jars of caramel sauce that all looked so tempting to take home, too!
We had such an incredible day and time with our friends… these really are the memories and the days that I KNOW I’ll look back on someday! Have you started any new traditions this fall? We’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
