Hey friends! We are so excited to be sharing yet another sweet engagement session with you guys today! We met up with Rachel and Kyle last week and had the best time exploring downtown Ottawa and Starved Rock for their engagement session! Rachel inquired with us over the summer, and right away, Luke and I knew that this sweet couple would be a fabulous addition to our 2018 lineup of couples! Rachel was incredibly sweet right off the bat- even over email and texting, and plus, she and I bonded over our mutual obsession with Apricot Lane, one of my absolute FAVORITE boutiques! 🙂 We knew we were .a great fit, and after they officially booked us as their wedding photographers, we instantly began planning their engagement session!
If you’re here in Illinois like we are, you know that we have had one of the absolute rainiest Octobers in several years… multiple weddings of ours have been accompanied by total downpours, we’ve been worried about rain at a few of our engagement sessions, and it’s just been a bit of a struggle to deal with! That’s why when the evening of Rachel and Kyle’s engagement session was looking like it would actually be beautiful, we were SO excited. It’s about time we had some pretty weather for engagement sessions, and that we TOTALLY did on this evening! We don’t think we could’ve imagined a more perfect night for these two’s engagement session. (Scroll on down to the last spot we shot at and see what we mean- that sunset was INCREDIBLE, y’all!)
Rachel and Kyle, we couldn’t be more thankful to have you guys as a Caitlin & Luke couple for 2018! You guys are incredibly sweet and we had such a blast getting to know you two a bit last week!
