We are Caitlin & Luke, Bloomington IL wedding photographers! Alright, where on EARTH do we begin with this day?! Oh my sweet goodness, y’all. Get ready, because THIS day is one for the books!!
Back in October of 2017, we got the sweetest inquiry from Lauren, just a day after they got engaged! I hope you don’t mind, Lauren, but I’m going to copy part of what that inquiry said because it’s just TOO CUTE! 😉 “Dean and I met in the third grade. I had a huge crush on him because he was really good at kickball and I was a natural at four-square so I knew we were meant to be.” Um, hello, adorable… we knew right away we LOVED these guys!! They met in elementary school at Washington Elementary here in Bloomington, stayed in touch through the years, and eventually reconnected again in college. They got engaged back at their elementary school, and you KNOW we stopped by there for a few sweet photos on their wedding day, too!!
From literally day one, Lauren and Dean have been nothing but absolutely phenomenal to work with! They have made our job and life easy throughout this process, and they have seriously spoiled us as their photographers! As photographers, it means so much when our couples share how much they love their images, and these guys have been so encouraging and vocal about how much they cherish both their engagement photos and their wedding photos, and it literally makes me tear up whenever I read what they post!! Not only that, but these guys stood up at their own wedding reception and personally thanked each vendor who was a part of their day. Like, seriously?! Who does that? They are just incredible!
Oh, and on Monday, they showed up at our house and dropped off a personal thank you note to each of us, along with some of the socks Dean’s groomsmen wore for Luke and a Dunkin gift card for me! Y’all, these guys are the REAL DEAL. Wow. How did we get so lucky?!
Lastly, this post would be incomplete without me mentioning the fact that Lauren is literally a wedding planning QUEEN and killed the wedding planning game from day one. This lady is incredibly organized and on top o things, and working with her has been the easiest thing on the planet! Lauren, THANK YOU for putting so much heart and thought into every element of your day. You got to enjoy the rewards of all that planning on Saturday, and it was INCREDIBLE to get to watch everything you’ve worked SO hard to organize and put together be executed flawlessly!
Lauren and Dean, if you can’t tell, we love you two a lot!!! Thank you for making OUR experience with you guys nothing short of amazing. We are going to miss you guys and we hope your day was literally everything you could’ve ever dreamed of! Thank you to you and your amazing bridal party and families for braving the cold, rainy, misty weather all days for the sake of some gorgeous portraits… thank goodness it wasn’t -5 degrees, right?! 😉 We wish you guys nothing but every bit of happiness y’all deserve and we can’t wait to watch your life together unfold!
