Happy Thursday friends! It certainly has been one heck of a week on the blog, hasn’t it?! Rounding up our absolute favorite images from 2016 is a huge job, but we truly loved getting to share a glimpse into our year with you guys! We love sharing bits and pieces of our lives with you all… and today, we wanted to share a little peek into a few corners of our little home!
We’ve had so much fun decorating our first place together since we moved in after our wedding, but one thing that has surprised me is how much of a work in progress it’s been! I expected everything would come together perfectly and quickly right after we moved in and started working on everything because I love to decorate. However, I quickly realized just how much of a work in progress a home ALWAYS is! I think it’s super important to embrace that, rather than let it overwhelm or frustrate you. We still have little projects we dream of getting done, I still order new photos all the time to put up, and let’s just say I’ve been stalking the Magnolia website because we got a gift card for Christmas… I’m a little excited 😉 It’s fun to refresh our home with each season and watch it grow with us, and mostly, we’re just thankful to have a little place we love so much! I also think it’s important to let yourself find the style and pieces that truly WORK for you. We actually love the cream or off-white walls in our home… they’re really calming! But, I’d go a little crazy without a few pops of color here and there, and that works for us right now.
Here’s a little glimpse inside our first home… so many sweet memories have been made so far, and we love it here!
There you go! The thing we love most about our home is filling it with the people we cherish. We’re so excited for a year of memories made here… and we’re so grateful to be starting 2017 MARRIED with this sweet place to call our own! Happy Thursday!
