Y’all… I have been SO excited to finally get to share a more in depth look into Luke and I’s wedding, and today I finally get to do so! It’s our one month anniversary today, so I figured it was the perfect day for it! 🙂
I have to start by saying just how incredible this past month of getting back into the swing of things with work has been. The amount of emails I’ve received from our precious couples and clients about our marriage have been nothing short of overwhelming… we feel SO grateful to have so many people care about us and cheer us on as we start life as a MARRIED couple. Thank you, so much, to everyone who has encouraged us, prayed for us, and loved on us in this fun season of life!
Next, I have to brag a little bit on our sweet photographer from our big day. You guys… you have no idea how many people asked Luke and I who was going to be shooting OUR big day! 😉 Ha!! It’s a great question, considering our jobs, and every time I was SO proud to tell them we’d found an incredible photographer from St. Louis! I’m SURE by now if you follow us or me personally on Instagram that you’ve heard about our sweet friend Jessica of Jessica Lauren Photography. Friends, this lady did an INCREDIBLE job on our wedding. Not only that, but working with Jessica from start to finish was a blessing. She takes care of her clients the way I hope we do, y’all! Not only were our images STUNNING, but we gained a new friend through working with her… I cannot say enough good things about this girl and her heart. We are so thankful we chose her!
And now… on to the images! The good stuff, right? I’ll be sharing a little bit of our heart behind planning our big day throughout this post, especially about some specific details. To sum it up, though, our wedding was not about us. It was about Jesus, and about reflecting the love of God for His children through our love for each other. So much prayer went into this day, and it’s my hope that what shone through US and what shines through these IMAGES is not Luke and I… it’s the love of Jesus and the JOY that He gives us that is most obvious. We can’t have asked for a more incredible, beautiful way to stat off forever together, and we’re so thankful. Here we go!!
