One word comes to my mind as I start writing this post. Are you ready for it?
HOW?!
Ha! I cannot help but wonder how on earth it is that we just shot our last wedding of 2017! This wedding season absolutely flew by for Luke and I, and part of me feels like it was just barely January of last year when we were starting off our 2017 season. Yet, here we are, and it’s January of 2018, and the year is over. We truly could not have picked a better way to end our 2017 than with celebrating with Paige and Jake! From the very beginning, these guys have been nothing but a complete dream come true to work with. Paige and Jake actually won an engagement session with us about a year ago (you can see their sweet shoot right here!), and from the moment they hopped out of their car and greeted us at that shoot, we knew we were in for a TREAT working with these guys!
Their wedding got here before we even knew it, and even though the windchills were easily in the negatives and it was the kind of cold that makes your entire body hurt (not even kidding, y’all!), these two braved the cold for portrait time with us OUTSIDE on their best day ever! Our couples are literally the greatest of all time, my goodness. We took lots of breaks and may or may not have been balancing cameras and bouquets with hand warmers from Walmart, guys… you have to do what you have to do, right? 😉 I know we all would say that it was TOTALLY worth it, though, because come on… how totally adorable are these guys?
We also have to give a quick shoutout to Paige and Jake’s AMAZING bridal party for braving the cold with us, as well! Paige and Jake picked the single most amazing group of people to stand by them on Saturday, and they were a total joy to work with. Find yourself a group of people who won’t even bat an eye about the cold temperatures for bridal party photos outside in December, brides! 🙂 My goodness!
Paige and Jake, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for inviting us into this past year of your lives and into the story of your relationship! It was a complete honor for Luke and I to be a part of, and we can’t wait to cheer you on in the years to come as your love story continues to unfold. You guys have been so good to us and we cannot WAIT to come visit in Nashville for dinner, someday… as long as Paige and I can make a quick stop at the Kendra Scott store before we eat 😉 We adore you two!
Congrats & Happy New Year, Mr. and Mrs. Reese!!
Xoxo,
Caitlin & Luke
