Caleb + Holly
Sometimes, as a photographer, you get this idea in your head for a photo or a session, and you just KNOW that you have to make it happen! That is exactly what we brought up when we met up with our AMAZING 2016 couple Holly and Caleb for Moe’s back in November.
First of all, can I just say how crazy much I love that we can just go grab DINNER with our amazing couples months after their wedding?! Our couples are way more than just clients to Luke and I. We have become close friends with SO many of our couples in the months leading up to their wedding and in the months after it! That is something we will always, always strive to make a priority and something we will forever be thankful for in our industry!
When we got to meet up with Holly and Caleb for Moe’s back in November, I told them how we had been wanting so badly to do a shoot at a Christmas tree farm in December! We had this vision in our minds of how special it would be to capture a couple picking out their very first Christmas tree together! Holly and Caleb quickly said YES to being our “models” for this session and we planned a date!
To top it all off, when we were on the way to the Christmas Tree Farm in Pekin, I got a text from Holly that said Caleb had surprised her with an early Christmas present… an English cream golden retriever puppy! Not only that, but they had JUST picked him up that afternoon and were bringing him to the Christmas tree farm! I mean, does it get much more perfect than that?! I don’t think so! Little Rex is just DARLING!
Holly and Caleb, we LOVE that we’ve gotten to photograph you guys several times now… first for your engagement session, then for your gorgeous wedding in May, and now for your first Christmas together! We are so grateful that our business brought us together and that we can call you guys not only a Caitlin & Luke Couple, but also dear friends! Thanks for putting up with our crazy idea and for letting us document part of your very first married Christmas! Y’all are the best. I promise I won’t come visit your puppy too often ????
Xoxo,
Caitlin and Luke
