Happy Thursday, friends! We are Caitlin and Luke, Champaign IL Wedding Photographers, and we are so excited to be sharing Laura and Paul’s gorgeous Allerton Park and Retreat Center engagement session with you all today! (Check out our most recent wedding at Allerton Park) These two have been such a blessing to Luke and I since they became a Caitlin and Luke Couple! I actually got to meet up with Laura a few weeks before their engagement session to chat about their wedding and plan out their detailed wedding day timeline together, and as soon as I got back to our home office, I told Luke how excited I was for Laura and Paul’s Allerton Park engagement session because of how much I genuinely LOVED getting to spend some time with her at Starbucks that day!!! 🙂
And gosh, were we blessed with the most wonderful January day for these two’s session! We’d been lucky enough to have a few weeks of weather that was unseasonably warm for an Illinois winter, and although it was definitely chilly by the end of these two’s shoot, most of it was pretty bearable! We are so thankful!! 🙂 Laura and Paul did an absolutely incredible job planning their outfits (the shirt Paul is wearing in the first set of photos has a lot of sentimental meaning to his family, which we love! So special!), and Paul even brought his guitar to incorporate into a few of the photos! We could’ve talked to these two for hours, and they were such a joy to get to have in front of our cameras!
Allerton Park is one of our favorite spots to shoot because it is beautiful all year round! We always make sure to take advantage of Allerton’s Mansion and Allerton’s Gardens when we are there for a session but with it being January most of Allerton’s Gardens weren’t in season!
Laura and Paul, spending time with you two for your Allerton Park engagement session made us even more excited than we already were for your June wedding! Bring it on- we truly cannot WAIT!! 🙂 We hope you guys absolutely adore your photos, and we’re so thrilled to be sharing our favorites on the blog today!!
