When you get to photograph a friend’s engagement photos and shoot their wedding, it’s special… but when that friend was also your ROOMMATE, it’s even more special! Kayla was one of my 9 (yes, nine!!) roommates last year, so I was over the moon excited to shoot her engagement session!! We met up early on Saturday morning for their session, and as soon as I woke up that day, I just KNEW it was perfect out for this shoot. It was a little misty out, the skies were grey, and it is finally starting to get a little cooler out… I was in heaven!
Kayla chose the perfect outfits for their session, and I couldn’t get enough of the colors she picked out: maroon, blush and navy! The perfect fall color palette! I adore the way Kayla and Phil interact… they truly just adore each other, and they have so much fun together. Their proposal story melts my heart, too! Every year, these two go to the Shakespeare festival together, and this past summer, Phil proposed there… with a PICNIC! So precious! I still remember getting the text from Kayla to all of us roommates that she was engaged and being SO excited for the two of them… so, it was fun to see these two on Saturday and hear all about their plans for their August wedding!
Kayla and Phil, I had SO much fun with you two on Saturday morning! Thank you for making the trip to come see me! Luke and I are counting down the days until August and we hope you guys adore each photo we get to show you today… I know I do ???? It’s an honor to get to photograph a roomie’s wedding and we’re just thrilled for the two of you!
