You already have heard by now that we had about a million engagement sessions last weekend… or, five, but it’s practically the same thing, right?! In any case, our engagement session on Saturday morning had been in the works for a few months ever since Heather inquired with us about their December wedding!
As soon as we received Heather’s inquiry, we were so excited, because this day sounded like a total dream come true. Heather and Shea are planning a gorgeous, intimate wedding at Starved Rock the weekend of Christmas. What could get better than that?! I’m all about a Christmas wedding, and if you’ve been to Starved Rock Lodge before, you KNOW this is going to be one heck of a wedding! ???? We are already counting down the days until it gets here!
We woke up early on Saturday morning, made some coffee (of course) and headed up north to Starved Rock to meet up with Heather and Shea! These guys are the only 2016 C&L couple that we hadn’t gotten to officially meet yet, so I’m so happy we go to finally do so on Saturday! Luke and I got there a little early to scope out light and do a little location scouting, and I think it’s safe to say that we were DYING over the light there! I posted this photo on my Instagram… wasn’t it just gorgeous?! Talk about perfect lighting for an engagement session! Sometimes early morning light is the best. We had such a fun time with Heather and Shea! These two know Starved Rock better than we do, and we even finished off our time with them in the most stunning of spots near a waterfall. Ahh! The best!!!
Heather and Shea, Luke and I had the BEST time meeting you two! You were the most fun to spend our morning with and we loved getting to photograph you two! You guys have such a contagious joy about you when you’re together and we are already ecstatic for your wedding in just two months! We hope you adore each of your photos and are so stoked to deliver the rest to you soon!
