What do you do when you and your couple have jam-packed summer schedules, their wedding is in less than two months, and the weather forecast for their engagement session evening keeps saying thunderstorms no matter how many times you refresh your iPhone?
You meet up at 2:30 in the afternoon, of course. 😉
Let’s start over for a second and reassure you guys that we have never intentionally booked a shoot in the middle of the day and we will likely never do it again! BUT, when Kim and I chatted on Monday morning about the anticipated weather heading our way, we decided to make their shoot happen in the middle of the day before the storms rolled in! Needless to say, we expected it to be completely cloudy for their session since rain was heading our way, so shooting in the middle of the day wouldn’t be quite as bad. However, when we arrived at their portrait location, I swear to you that the skies opened up and we had full sun for their session. 😉 Let’s just say that made our job a little difficult, but we still made it happen… and we are so happy that we did!
Kim and Josh, thank you for standing in the approximately two feet of shade we had to work with for your shoot and for not complaining about walking through fields to get the best light!! You guys are truly the best and we appreciate you guys trusting us so very much. Judging by the massive thunderstorm Luke and I drove home in after your shot, we’re seriously happy we decided to make this shoot happen when we did… and we’re so happy that it worked out the way it did! We cannot wait to see you guys in less than two months (how did that even happen?!) and we know your wedding is going to be something incredible. We hope you enjoy this little peek into your session with us!
Xoxo,
Caitlin and Luke
We had to grab a few with these guys’ sweet little girl! She has the BEST personality of all time and was so darling. So happy we got to meet her!!
