Never before have we had so many weddings in APRIL, and you guys, we have just been loving it! We have been blessed with some darn gorgeous weather over the past few weeks, and it’s made shooting in April a breeze! Well, quite literally… it’s also been a very WINDY month around here in Illinois, but our brides have been totally rocking it nonetheless 😉
As soon as we arrived on Brittany and Kirk’s wedding day, one thing was so completely obvious: THIS was a day that had been long awaited. There was an excitement in the air that you could just feel… it was everywhere. Brittany and Kirk’s sweet friends and family were busy finishing decorating, cooking and baking, the girls were having the best time ever getting ready together, and family was starting to arrive. We love wedding mornings for this very reason… everyone is just plain joyful and ready to celebrate. What could be better?! Plus, the forecast for Saturday had been calling for rain and cold weather all week long, but the sunshine never went away and all we had to deal with was a little bit of that wind! We were grateful for SURE.
Brittany and Kirk, we’re so thankful for you both! Thank you for being so sweet to us over the past several months and for inviting us into your celebration! We have had the most fun with you two over the past few months as we planned and prepared for this sweet day, and we had even more fun on your wedding day this past Saturday! Let’s be real… y’all have some pretty awesome friends and family, and it was incredible to watch just how EXCITED everyone was for the two of you! Enjoy that honeymoon of yours, and enjoy a little glimpse into your first day of forever!
