I feel like a broken record saying all the time how in SHOCK I am that it’s already November… but for real, how on earth did November arrive already?! 2016 has gone by faster than any year I can remember! A sweet friend of mine recently told me that she saw a little pin on Pinterest that said, “October for photographers is like April for accountants,” and I couldn’t agree with that more… Our October was FULL of so many shoots, five stunning weddings, and a lot of busy days in the office. Part of me is relieved that hectic month is all done, but at the same time, we had so much fun together in the midst of that whirlwind month! It’s an adventure to get to travel around the area together, meet our amazing 2016 and 2017 brides, and celebrate a whole BUNCH of amazing love stories along with them!
I secretly love November… it’s calmer than October, it’s still fall, and we have so much to look forward to with Thanksgiving at the end of the month! Also, Luke and I started dating in November of 2014, so this month marks two years together for us! Right after we started dating, Luke planned a date night that he said would start a new tradition for the two of us, and we’ve kept up with it ever since. Every year, seven weeks away from Christmas, we start watching one Christmas movie a week until the holiday arrives! It’s hard to believe that TONIGHT we’ll watch our first Christmas movie of our 7 Weeks of Christmas tradition, but we do and we’re so excited to start this again… this time, in our own little home!
We have a few movies that we watch every single year, no matter what. Elf is always the movie we watch the week of Christmas, and this year I want to add some traditional movies like It’s a Wonderful Life. We’re off to shoot Gina and Jason’s beautiful wedding tomorrow and an engagement session in Chicago on Sunday with a 2017 couple, so we’ll be on the go a little bit! Have an amazing weekend, friends!
